Muxia

The Camino is finished but the day to Muxia is worth recording purely for the images.

Starting with this 😊 https://www.compostelacontemporanea.com/galería/edición-2019/

We also found this at Muxia

Super granny sequence of images
To which we added our own super granny 👵

The coast at Muxia is quite stunning. There’s a small battered lighthouse

on a rocky promontory, some images of which are here for winter viewing.

As we returned to the town but this time along the northern edge of the promontory we came across this rather imposing sculpture.

At its base is the common camino monolith but with a twist.

Note the distance

This is clearly the start of the Camino Fisterra which runs from Muxia through Fisterra to Santiago. At the tail end of the Inglés in 2021 as I mentioned in an earlier post, we walked from Santiago to Fisterra vía Muxia a distance of roughly 100km. This marker would appear to be the correct starting point.

Perhaps another time.

The Muxia peninsula

A final image …

It’s been fun.
