We’ve picked up the necessary paperwork for the dogs. It turned out to be a very painless experience, a 30 minute interview with the vet simply going through the forms he’d already prepared and a transfer of £149 from our account to his and we were done.
Havant is a little way past Portsmouth and the return journey a little too close to the i3’s maximum range for comfort (146km each way) so we needed to stop somewhere on our return journey. A 50kw charger outside of McDonald’s was in use, the 50kw charger near Sutton Scotney wouldn’t connect so we were forced to wait an hour for the 7kw charger to give us enough to guarantee an anxiety free return home. The joys of a relatively short range electric car. 😢.
But, we’re set and the dogs are raring to go. we have a slight hope that we might manage a short Camino with the dogs on this trip, perhaps from Santiago to Fistera and Muxia. It’s a lovely walk and taxis etc to get me back to the car at the end of the day are easy to find. With that in mind the dogs have their own credentials 😊

Quick newsflash : fun and games at Comberton with an extremely high drain led to a burst tyre, a trip thanks to BMW assist to Bedford and a brand new tyre. On an Easter Monday too.
Second newsflash : we’ve rescheduled the channel crossing to Friday. We’ve also rescheduled our stopover at Rouen accordingly. There are simply too many things to sort out here before we leave so best to leave in a more chilled state of mind.
