We’re back π€. We had a relaxed bus ride to Gatwick followed by a decent lunch of beautifully cooked salmon and puy lentils with two small glasses of Merlot. Hedonism run wild.
The flight was remarkably turbulent but otherwise uneventful. We’ve just made our way through our first bocadillo de paleta Iberia, i.e. serrano ham sandwich and are waiting for the bus to Oviedo where we’re spending the night.
We have seats on a train to Sahagun booked for 8:30 tomorrow morning. Once in, we’ll grab some lunch before retracing our steps to Calzada del Coto where we picked up the taxi to Leon last trip. Hopefully no more dodgy eyeballs this trip, though a blocked eustachian tube on the right side of my face is substituting nicely. (Sigh).
Fingers crossed we’ll make it all the way to Santiago de Compostela this time.
